Goals of Class

Ultimately, you will be able to think and communicate with empathy so you can connect and adapt to the world more deeply.

What Happens in Class?

The class itself is mostly focused group discussion based on the material provided. The teacher will offer support and suggestions about how to communicate certain ideas and nuances when appropriate. Please note that this is not a grammar class.

Topics

Each week is a different topic. Examples: business, culture, innovation, art, cross-cultural communication, lifestyle, psychology, technology, gender equality, relationships, philosophy, education, environment, health, and many other global topics and creative ideas.

Class Material

Materials will be provided by the teacher in advance via email each week. Usually the material is created by the teacher and includes an online video (often a TED Talk) or an article or activity with audio, along with discussion questions for class. At east one hour of preparation time each week is recommended. Here are examples of our material.
