from the Teacher
The teacher (David Nagai)...

Encourages students to speak more and helps them put their thoughts and feelings into words via in-depth group discussion.
Hosts a safe environment for making mistakes. Mistakes show that you are willing to try, learn and grow.
Helps students when they need support and also gives group feedback.
Original Materials
We don't use textbooks.
Instead, David has created 300+ original materials since 2017.
Most material focuses on one theme each week, introduces a short article or video (4-10 min) and includes audio, transcript, English tips, and six discussion questions.
Some materials introduce an activity like a student-led discussion, brainstorm, or role-play.
We recommend students prepare one hour each week, but less time is also fine. The class itself will be interactive group discussion.
